Features plenty of whisky from the Miyagikyo distillery, as well as percentage of malt matured in Sherry casks to give it a rich, spiced nose. Named after the company’s founder, Masataka Taketsuru, and aged on average for around 10 years.
Bright gold color. Lively, attractive aromas of leather, cedar, sautéed almonds, and raisins with a silky, crisp, dry-yet-fruity medium body and a tingling, long dried fruits, minerals, honeyed tea, and salted caramelized nuts finish. A superb and evolving whisky for thoughtful contemplative sipping.
